The Enforcement Directorate ( ED) is reportedly considering bringing former Kerala Devaswom minister and senior CPM leader Kadakampally Surendran under the radar of its investigation into the money laundering angle of the Sabarimala temple gold loot

It is learnt that the ED will examine the allegations levelled against him related to the Sabarimala gold loot. The Central agency will examine whether the former Devaswom minister had any financial dealings with Unnikrishnan Potti, the main accused in the Sabarimala gold heist case.

It has been reported that Kadakampally had a close relationship with Unnikrishnan Potti, the first accused in the case, and that he used to visit Potti’ s house. Former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president reportedly told the investigation team that Potti had a relationship with Kadakampally and Sabarimala Thanthri (priest) even before he came into contact with the first accused. The background of the statement will be examined by the ED. Potti has also given a statement that he had a good relationship with many influential people and that he had given gifts to many of them.

The ED has found that Unnikrishnan Potti has amassed wealth after he reached Sabarimala. He might have adequately rewarded all those who had helped him in his Sabarimala’ operation ‘. It is learnt that the ED sleuths will interrogate Unnikrishnan Potti shortly.
